Radka  Rubilina, PhD  

I am an evaluator and have been engaged in the study of literature and societies in CIS countries since 1997. I have a deep interest in human rights and have worked as a human rights officer and adviser for various organizations, including People in Need, the OSCE Mission in Armenia, and the EUMM in Georgia .I am a member of the European Evaluation Society and the Czech Evaluation Society, focusing primarily on evaluations of human rights and civil society programmes.

In addition, I translate from Russian, Bulgarian, and Ukrainian. I have published an anthology on the GULAG (forced labor camps during Stalin’s era) and contributed articles to Czech media such as Hospodářské noviny, Respekt, Lidové noviny, Souvislosti, and Czech Television Art.

My poetry collection Cheap Romance was published in 2017, followed by Balchik in 2024. I am a member of the Association of Czech Writers.

Since 2013, I have been serving as a diplomat for the Czech Ministry of Foreign Affairs, currently as the Director of the Czech Centre Sofia in Bulgaria. Previously, I held the same position at the Czech Centre Kyiv in Ukraine (2020–2023).
